Young Indian Writers Who Are Gaining Much Popularity From Writing

Writing in India has started from so early that today this country is full of many famous writers. Writing has always been a task of charm in the country. India has unlimited talents. Over many years, the writers in India have contributed to the world through their writings. Writers in India have always deserved a special place in the hearts of people. India is pride for all those famous writers who have earned name and fame in the country and away from the country.


There have been names of many young writers rising up in India. Surprisingly young, tragically unpopular, incisive and most importantly writing on orthodox issues as well. Many young writers in the country have gained popularity in the field of writing. The names of few famous young writers of the country are given as under:

1. Chetan Bhagat

Chetan Bhagat is a very popular young Indian writer born in 1974.  He is an author of many famous and most popular novels which are Five Point Someone, One Night @ Call Center, 3 Mistakes of my Life etc. He is also a very good speaker and al his books became very popular and are the best sellers. He is one of the most popular writers of the country. 

2. Dr. Hari Om

Dr. Hari Om IAS is an officer, a writer, an artist and a very famous musician of north India. His songs and poems are very much popular in this region. He has also written book on ghazals and a book which contains set of poems in it. He is a writer of many famous books named: ‘Amreeka Meri Jaan’, ‘Khwabon Ki Hansi’, ‘Dhoop Ka Parcham’, ‘Kapas Ke Agle Mausam Mein’, etc. He is one of the most famous young Indian writers of the country. He has won many awards in a row.  

3. Kiran Desai

Kiran Desai born in the year 1971 is an Indian author and daughter of Anita Desai. She left India at her 14 years and settled in America. Hullabaloo in Guava Orchard is the first Novel which was published in the year 1998 and won Betty Trask Award by Society of Authors. She was also awarded with Berlin Prize and is considered to be India’s one of the most popular young writer. 

4. Meghna Pant

An award-winning author, journalist and speaker Meghna Pant's writing is a competent blend of inspiration. Her first novel is One & a Half Wife, came out in 2012 and was a bestseller. She's in 30s and is the most rising young writer of the country.
